DMAE
DMAE is a cell membrane stabilizer, and a potent
natural precursor to acetylcholine, which is necessary
for firm skin. Cell membrane degradation has been
shown to be one of the primary causes of premature
aging. Topical use of DMAE shows remarkable effects
in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic Acid is a key component of collagen,
the substance responsible for holding the body
together. It is vital to the health and integrity
of your skin. Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring
element in human connective tissue that can be
described as a “space filler,” as
it provides the moisture filled cushioning between
our cells. The main function of Hyaluronic acid
is to keep the skin moist, supple and soft. Unfortunately,
Hyaluronic Acid levels decrease as we age. It
has been scientifically proven to support skin
renewal by greatly increasing the retention of
water due to its ability to attract and bind thousands
of times its weight in water. Revered as an outstanding
moisturizer, Hyaluronic Acid has been used safely
and effectively for years to replenish the skin’s
levels. It can be used for skin that is very dry,
chapped and dehydrated. It also helps to restore
the smoothness and elasticity of tissue subjected
to long solar exposure. It protects and hydrates
the skin. Hyaluronic Acid is also a free radical
scavenger and antioxidant. It is helpful following
laser surgery and chemical peels. It is excellent
for everyday use.
Vitamin A (Retinyl
Palmitate)
Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate) is a component of
vitamin A and palmitic acid, an ingredient which
helps moisture to penetrate more easily. It has
a molecular structure that's tiny enough to get
into the lower layers of skin, where it finds
collagen and elastin. It improves mottled pigmentation,
fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture, skin tone
and color, and the skin's hydration levels. It
is widely accepted that Retinyl Palmitate will
improve the texture of oily and acne skin and
aid in the removal of dead cells. Retinyl Palmitate
is an ester of retinol. Retinol will do on a lesser
scale what Retin-A does; i.e. reduce fine lines,
renew the skin’s “glow” and
stimulate cells that make skin-supporting collagen
and elastin – without the redness, flaking,
and irritation of stronger Retin-A products. It
can be safely used daily.
Alpha Lipoic
Acid (ALA)
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a potent antioxidant
that is both fat and water-soluble. ALA has the
ability to regenerate other essential antioxidants
such as vitamins C and E, CoQ10 and glutathione.
Alpha Lipoic Acid is required for the production
of energy in living cells. ALA is a wonderful
rejuvenating substance when presented in the proper
therapeutic amount such as is present in RC.
L-Carnosine
L-Carnosine is a dipeptide of the amino acids
beta-Alanine and l-Histamine. L-Carnosine is naturally
present in the human body, however its level declines
as we age. L-Carnosine has the remarkable ability
to rejuvenate cells and connective tissue, restoring
normal appearance and extending cellular lifespan.
L-Carnosine prevents skin collagen cross-linking,
which leads to loss of elasticity and wrinkles.
As a potent antioxidant, l-Carnosine effectively
quenches the most destructive of free radicals,
the hydroxyl radical, as well as super oxide,
singlet oxygen and the peroxyl radical. L-Carnosine
also protects cellular DNA and chromosomes from
oxidative damage that accumulates with age.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C, properly formulated, helps skin appear
firmer and makes for a smoother complexion by
diminishing the appearance of fine lines. It helps
restore elasticity and helps to reduce puffiness
and dark circles under the eyes. Preliminary studies
have found that a cream containing Vitamin C produces
positive changes in sun-damaged skin. Regena Cell's
Vitamin C is stabilizied, and ph buffered.
Vitamin
E
Vitamin E is known as the “protection
vitamin” of the skin, because it protects
the cell membranes from damage of free oxygen
radicals. It has anti-inflammatory properties,
increases skin moisture and promotes wound
healing. Vitamin E prevents the skin from
premature aging induced by UV irradiation
and lipid peroxidation. It can be used for
skin that is dry, chapped, dehydrated and
sun damaged, also following laser surgery
and chemical peels. |

Aloe
Vera Gel
Aloe Vera Gel is a superb penetrating, moisturizing
agent. It helps keep the skin supple, encourages
skin rejuvenation and has been used in the
control of acne and eczema. Aloe's healing
power comes from increasing the availability
of oxygen to the skin, and by increasing the
synthesis and strength of tissue. Aloe Vera
clinical tests show that it supports surgical
recovery and fast healing of wounds and reduction
of scarring, minimizes frostbite damage, soothes
burns and sunburn, screens out radiation,
helps psoriasis and has anti-inflammatory
properties. It can relieve itching due to
insect bites and allergies. Aloe Vera helps
to stimulate the body's immune system while
being naturally hypoallergenic with about
the same pH balance of the skin. |
Panthenol (Vitamin
B-5)
Dexapanthenol (Vitamin B-5) is an important skin
nutrient required for the production of Co-Enzyme-A.
It is Co-Enzyme-A that supplies energy to the
cells. This supports rejuvenation and longevity.
When Panthenol comes into contact with skin, it
is converted into pantothenic acid, a B Complex
factor. Panthenol also works with DMAE in the
production of acetylcholine which firms and tones
the skin.
Lecithin
Lecithin is included because it supplies all of
the phosphatides naturally found in cell membranes;
especially phosphatidylcholine, an important nutrient
that repairs and maintains cell membranes. This
special emulsified lecithin is more readily available
to the cells. This increases penetration to more
efficiently repair and maintain cell membranes.
Remember, as your cells age, so do you!
NaPCA
NaPCA is a wonderful moisturizing agent. As children,
our skin possessed an abundant supply of this
remarkable moisturizing agent called NaPCA (sodium
PCA). This substance, in addition to keeping skin
soft and wrinkle-free, chemically attracts water
from the surrounding air. As we age, sodium PCA
levels drop by 50% or more. By replenishing your
natural supply of sodium PCA, Regena Cell Anti-Aging
Cream helps recapture youthful beauty!
Grape Seed Extract
Grape Seed Extract has mildly astringent qualities
which help to tighten and tone the skin, making
it useful for acne and other skin conditions.
Grape seed extract contains proanthocyanidins,
which are considered to be very potent antioxidants,
helpful for diminishing the sun's damaging effects,
lessening free-radical damage and is also helpful
in wound healing. It is rich in linoleic acid,
an essential fatty acid important for the skin
and the cell membranes, with regenerative and
skin moisturizing properties.
Chamomile Extract
Chamomile Extract promotes healthy skin and is
rich in Azulene, a natural anti-inflammatory and
healing agent. It has a natural skin softening
and soothing component that improves texture and
reduces fine lines and wrinkle.
Horsetail Extract
Horsetail Extract’s healing properties,
known since ancient Roman times, are from its
high content of vegetal silica, which has a softening
and smoothing effect on the skin. It has astringent
and wound healing properties, and contains the
bio-minerals (manganese, magnesium, iron and copper)
necessary for collagen and elastin biosynthesis,
linking the produced collagen fibers to help rebuild
connective tissue.
Centella Asiatica
Extract
Centella Asiatica Extract has antibacterial, anti-psoriatic
and wound-healing properties. It contains compounds
that exert a balancing effect on connective tissue
with improved function and integrity of the collagen
matrix. It also prevents or limits the shrinkage
and swelling of the skin caused by infection and
inhibits scar formation, increasing healing and
reducing fibrosis.
PABA
PABA (Para-amino benzoic acid) is crucial to the
body’s production of important vitamins
such as folic acid, K, and B1. Our PABA is natural,
and does not cause the skin reactions associated
with the synthetic form.
Vegetable glycerin
Vegetable glycerin helps maintain the water balance
in the intercellular matrix of the skin and in
so doing, maintains the skin's homeostasis. Glycerin
helps other lipids to perform their work more
effectively.

Chirality
The concept of chirality is very important
in skin care because the body’s receptors
are all chiral. They are like gloves that
are made to fit only the correct hand. Skin
care products need to be chirally correct
for the proper fit onto the skin’s
receptors. This results in an effective
product. This is a formulating secret that
you will be hearing more about in the years
to come.
